Aurora Abolio

A dancer of 10 years ever since she was in high school, Aurora came upon breakdancing when she was 17 and has been training as a b-girl, traveling all over the country to build, train and compete ever since. She has also had the opportunity to work with people of all ages, teaching them through community workshops. Other street dance styles she has been trained in are Popping, Hip Hop, and the most recent one to be accepted into the street dance fold, Lightfeet.

Because she started before Hip Hop was fully accepted in the Midwest dance community, she has been part of the growth and culture of the dance. Aurora believes that the history and the culture of Hip Hop is just as important as the dance and makes sure that every student knows what Hip Hop is truly about—peace, love and being yourself.
