GingerAnn Neslund has been dancing since she was approximately five years old. She grew up
in northern Michigan and attributes her early training to Scott Heinrich and Giuseppe Canale
of the Northeast Academy of Dance in Oscoda, MI. Her genres of expertise are modern and
ballet, though she has basic training in tap, jazz, and pointe work. Ginger has also dabbled in
styles such as Irish dance, Javanese, and Bollywood. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Dance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2012 and her clinical Doctorate of
Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan, Flint in 2015. Ginger is currently attending
Wayne State University in the hopes of earning a Master of Arts in Teaching Artistry for Dance.
She approaches her dance technique classes with mindfulness toward injury prevention,
proper biomechanics, and self-healing techniques to keep dancers doing what they love.
